"Travel light and travel often. Take nothing but memories. Leave nothing but footprints."

Years ago, while backpacking in Cambodia, I came across this little homily scribbled on the wall of a small guesthouse in Siem Reap. As I look back now, the unknown sage might have written these words for me... well, at least the 'travel often' bit :)

I have lived for extended periods in various parts of India, and later in New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Spain, USA, Japan and Germany. Over the course of these years, I have also managed to visit over 40 countries. That's a lot of territory! And having acquired over the years, a varied level of fluency in Spanish, German, Japanese, and Bahasa Indonesia, not to mention a couple of Indian languages, I think I can consider myself to be a global citizen.

With the travel, naturally enough there has been photography. Photography was initially a way to capture the memories and share them with family and friends. Somewhere along the way, without quite realizing it, this has turned into a passion. So now, even my vacations are no longer just that, but photography expeditions as well.

My images fall largely into the genre of travel photography - locations, scenes, people, culture, art - around the world, but I do enjoy doing other forms as well.

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to read this. I hope you enjoy the visit. I would love to hear from you - feedback, thoughts, comments, whatever.

And if you end up buying some images, that would be pretty awesome too!
